Scoring Rubric: General Assignments

This rubric will be used to score assignments that do not have an accompanying specialized rubric such as lab reports and some projects.

Score 4.0	I can answer all questions without mistakes or omissions and my responses go beyond what was taught.
Score 3.5	I can answer all questions without mistakes or omissions and my responses go partially beyond what was taught.
Score 3.0	I can answer all questions without mistakes or omissions and my responses demonstrate a reasonable understanding of the concepts taught.
Score 2.5	I can answer questions without major mistakes or omissions regarding simple details and concepts, but my responses demonstrate only partial understanding of more complex ideas and processes.
Score 2.0	I can answer questions without major mistakes or omissions regarding simple details and concepts, but my responses do not address more complex ideas, are brief and demonstrate only partial understanding.
Score 1.5	I can answer the questions, but my responses demonstrate only partial understanding of simple details and concepts and may contain major mistakes or omissions on more complex ideas and processes.
Score 1.0	I can answer the questions with help, but some of my responses may be incorrect and demonstrate only partial understanding of simple details and concepts and of some of the more complex ideas and processes.
Score 0.5	With help, I can demonstrate partial understanding of simple details and concepts, but not the more complex ideas and processes.
Score 0.0	I had no success, even with help OR I had no success, and chose not to seek help.
