A What is the Maker Movement?

B What is a Screencast and Why Would I Use One?

  • Screencast

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration. The term screencast compares with the related term screenshot; whereas screenshot generates a single picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, enhanced with audio narration.

HOMEWORK: It is expected that you will spend at least 1-2 hours ONLINE between face-to-face classes. If you pace yourself, this amounts to only 10 to 15 minutes per day! You will need to set aside 5-7 hours of time during the weeks we are not meeting face-to-face to complete your workload - this is about 45 minutes per day. There are also normal course homework expectations.
